Interesting Thing Happened to me at the Metropolitan Breuer Museum New Exhibition!

The new exhibition called “Unfinished”, which opens to the public on Tuesday is absolutely fabulous.  I wrote about it in “Unfinished” Opening Exhibition for the new MET Breuer Museum.  Seeing for one's own eyes a window into the creative processes of so many great painters is awesome.

As I made my way through the exhibition, I entered a room of Turner paintings.  Sun Setting Over a Lake immediately reminded me of one of my own paintings that I just finished last week!

Another painting in the exhibition Rough Seas, reminds me of a painting I did in 2015 that is now in a solo exhibition in the 135W50 Building lobby (formerly the TIME Building)

A similar canvas by Matisse also has a patch of bare canvas at the top (right).  However, you can’t help thinking that Matisse wanted to leave it that way.

What do you think?
