Seeing Dirty Rotten Scoundrels Again

I swear - this movie just gets better with time!  Michael Caine - (fabulous in everything), really outdid himself in this one.  He’s oh so suave as the cultured but likable sophisticate Lawrence.  The scene where he gives lessons to Freddy (Steve Martin) in the art of debonair-ness is fabulous.

I just love a good laugh. The other day I asked my son if he remembered seeing Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, but he didn’t - so we watched it today.  It’s one of my very favorites.  Oh, I just loved it all over again.  And, watching it with my son seeing it for the first time, listening to him chuckling away - made it even better.

In case you haven’t noticed, I just love Michael Caine.  But, I always feel unnerved by how much he looks like my father.  It’s has been happening to me for years - even though I haven’t seen my father in twenty years, and it always catches me off-guard.  That irks me.  Wasn’t there some movie about 25 years ago where MC played a killer dressed like a woman who stabbed people elevators?  Dressed To Kill - that was it.  That was one scary movie.  Wow - I feel even more unnerved now.
